The St. Elizabeth Center began at St. Joseph Parish as a food pantry and clothes closet in the 1990s. In 2005, these were moved to the former Assumption School and named the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Center. The center was named to honor St. Elizabeth who devoted her life and her financial resources to the improvement of the lives of the sick and the poor. Clothing, household items, and additional food items are generously donated by area supporters and Catholic Charities.
