Bonnie, her husband, Dave, and their two children were doing great until Dave suddenly had a serious health problem.
He had emergency surgery and was placed into a coma to heal. Dave had been the sole provider for the family, and now Bonnie needed to figure out how to support her family.
Overwhelmed, she was losing hope and meeting lots of obstacles. Bonnie’s caseworker suggested she call St. Martin Center. Margie, the center’s social service administrator, was able to help Bonnie with utility assistance, food and transportation to get Dave to therapy appointments.
Above all this, Bonnie received the compassion she needed at this trying time.
