In 2024, we concentrated our efforts on specific annual themes while continuing to provide general support. Our theme for 2025 addressed the critical issue of homelessness, and our staff worked to identify service gaps for the unhoused. After much prayer and extensive conversations with agency directors, staff members, and those engaged in homeless outreach, we identified several ways we can help.  One such way is the provision of basic household items for individuals and families who were previously unsheltered and have found permanent housing. Since we are administrative offices at Catholic Charities, we determined that the most efficient way to make these Housewarming Kits available would be through our affiliate agencies who assist their clients with housing. St. Martin Center in Erie, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Center in Oil City, Prince of Peace Center in Farrell, and Good Samaritan Center in Clearfield will be distributing the kits to those who are in their programs and who meet eligibility requirements.
